Haven't seen those Bardwells before. The Kuhl Man Vienna Lager is somewhat different, SO took a sip and said she liked it, I found it quite dark for a lager, more reminiscent of an ale
Need to try Drifter and Honingklip. If the clueless snobs disapprove then it must be gold.
@ OMB
Those look interesting. Isn't that the jungle oats logo![]()

LOL, actually might be heading down to Notties tomorrow, so might try it on tap before opening the can, it's interesting to see that they've gone into canning now and have started expanding their range, I've always enjoyed their Pickled Pig and Whistling Weasel

Can one use a food thermometer when homebrewing - need to test for 76 C when heating water, and then 22 C after boil -
all brew shops are closed - would this work?

Yes, it would work fine. One of the most popular thermometers for home brewing is the thermopen which is the fancy pants instant read cooking thermometer. There is a home brewing thread...
I think my two favourites currently are Devils Peak and Triggerfish.
don't see much Triggerfish in GP, Copperlake is one of my favourites
