The Department of Dysfunction

me gave up half way... was too convoluted. Sounded like a really bad fourth installment of Shrek.

Hopefully Telkom and the likes see how bad they were and really start to give the apples [bandwith] to us!!

Very good article if I may add...

Apples? Donkeys? Kings?

It was funny and interesting until the donkeys, then I lost who was who

On the topic, it's rather silly to "threaten remove the license" from vodacom/cellc/mnt unless the have more capacity for 2010. Remove vodacom's license = half the infrastructure gone... and it's already being strained by SA as it is... Typical SA mind set, trains are late - lets burn down the trains in response.... infrastructure under strain, lets threaten to destroy it...

stupid.

This is one of the most brilliant articles i've ever read!! If anyone has been following the ICT sector at all everythin would make sense quite easily..
Some guidelines to disect the article.

Apple companies = ISPs/Operators
Blue apples = Vodacom
Donkey Company = I think is telkom
Yellow apples = MTN
Red apples = Cell C
Baskets = Infrastructure/Local Fiber links
Orange basket = Neotel Infrastructure
man it just goes on you guys can figure out the rest
LMAO Brilliant just brilliant!!

[qoute]In all this chaos the Crowd of Jesters even threatened to stop eating the green apples. But damn, those apples were tasty.[/quote]

Bwahahahahh...... I'm still laughing !

Donkeys are Eskom BTW

"The donkey company was also to blame. The apple giants needed the power from the donkeys to make the whole apple network work. Sometimes donkeys died, and during the first month of the year of last, there were very few donkeys indeed. In fact there was a donkey shortage and donkeys had to be rationed."

err no... Basket company is Telkom and Donkey company is Eskom.

The "two (and a half) apple companies" are the cellular networks.

Festival of Games is 2010, etc... :p

Yeah, an amusing article :)
