The Division

Just wait for the "yay I'm 30, now what" feeling to hit :D

I was meaning for this next part to be a PSN Message last night but carrying unfocused people through Consulate isn't pleasant

Do you still have Story missions to complete, if so which ones?
Are there any safe houses you have not yet discovered?
Any side quests you need a hand with?

If I can get you up to 30 this evening (or weekend if tonight doesn't go as planned), I can carry you through a good number of General Assembly <Hard> runs for 6-8 purples each run and at least get you a couple Phoenix Credits in the process ;)

All Safe houses unlocked, have one med and two security missions left that's it.

I am seriously going to try to get on tonight about after 9 would say.
We can hook up somewhere and do a few runs definitely this weekend.

BoO fully upgraded. Have 4 map zones to clear out (last 4 areas).

200+ Intel items :)

Haven't been In the dark zone much. Like 18

The canine perk is possibly the best to unlock for 100% completion. I found that on the PS4 I had 3 echo's glitch out (managed to then free-roam with another player to replay his echos) and 2 phone-recordings did not show unless you zoom in all the way.

Just remember when you complete all the missions and such in a area - it causes the drones, phones and such to be revealed.

My intention has generally be to try get a couple DZ levels each night. However me and my party of 2 decided to do the Russian Consulate on Challenging for the daily reward.

20 mins to do 2 hard mode missions. 2 hours to complete the Challenge mode. Sure it may have been easier with a fourth, but why call it challenge mode if you're not willing to challenge yourself

After that, the emotion was just too much to do anything else :D

When you do the challenge missions with your 'friend' before you go in, match make - get 2 more guys - makes things easier.

Wait till you do the water plant on challenge :). That timer is not your friend

That one is actually very easy if you have a group of people running sticky bomb/shield. We typically finish the timer portion with a good 2-3 minutes left.

I normally "rush" Lincoln tunnel - takes about 30 minutes for 30 phoenix credits. What most people don't know is that you can rush past the first section (on the right-hand side) and then climb up onto the right platform perform the tunnel entrance. When you have 4 players on the top with healing station and sticky bomb, all the enemies from the previous sections will come in as well and it is quite easy to crowd control. The other part, people don't seem to get in that challenge mode is that once you clear out the tunnel and you have the 2 min timer, it is best to have one player on the same right-hand platform (to distract some rushers) and the remaining 3 at the entrance of the tunnel (behind the cover) - again - sticky-bomb/healing and you cruise through it. Don't kill all the enemies and just let the timer run out, this avoids having to go through 2-3 waves.

Did DZ last night for about 2 hours and moved up 3 levels (I think I am now just over DZ48) and had plenty of high-end drops (all rubbish rolls). Wasted most of my phoenix credits on trying to get that perfect roll (looking for stamina or electronics, but seem to always get arms).

Everything we know about The Division's "Falcon Lost" incursion and update 1.1

Tom Clancy's The Division launched just over three weeks ago. Since then, many players have reached or are reaching their maximum potential in the game in terms of gear acquired and challenging missions completed. While Ubisoft Massive pushed a small update a while back that tweaked the game's Dark Zone, there hasn't been any truly new content to play, leaving some experienced players a bit bored at times. The good news is a major update is on the way for The Division and we have all the confirmed details on what players can expect from the game's 1.1 update.

Let's take a look at what The Division's "Incursions" (update 1.1) will offer players:

Incursions: Like World of Warcraft or Destiny's "raid" challenges, incursions are very challenging end-game missions for The Division that force a squad of four players to triumph over more difficult enemies and a crazy-tough bosses. With incursions, players will be required to consider tactical approaches to the toughest encounters ever in the game which may or may not have a heavy emphasis on damage-dealing. Enemies in incursions are much more varied in terms of placement and difficulty, so while other challenging missions allowed for groups to hide or "turtle" and force AI enemies to approach the group for easier killing, incursions will force the squad to actually push through the crowd and be ready for good cover areas to go bad in a hurry.

Loot trading: Players will be able to trade loot acquired from a boss that was killed while in group. This means if you get a high-end drop but have no need for it, you can give it to another player that does need it. To do this, players will have to travel to safe areas scattered throughout the DZ in order to offer a trade. You'll have two hours from the time the boss drops the loot to trade before the item is permanently in your inventory and becomes non-tradable.

Gear sets: Like many other RPGs, gear sets are coming to The Division. Gear sets are acquired throughout The Division, including incursions, challenging missions, Dark Zone encounters and crafting blueprints. Equipping a certain number of set gear items opens up greater bonuses than your typical high-end gear. These items will appear light green when they drop (not the same green as low-level items) but aren't always a guaranteed upgrade for players that already have tailored high-end gear. These set pieces will be better than your typical high-end drop, but offer specific talent bonuses that will likely be more helpful for group settings, so rogues may or may not always benefit from this type of gear.

New guns: While Ubisoft Massive didn't specify what exactly we'll see, update 1.1 will bring about new weapons that players will want, and they will be very powerful, so wielding one of these could give you an edge in other areas of the game.

Matchmaking: Incursions will have matchmaking, but there are some caveats. Gear score is coming in to play with this update and these difficult missions will have two difficulty settings: hard and challenging. Hard incursions will have a gear level recommendation, which is determined by the quality of your gear and will be displayed in the lower-right corner of a player's inventory screen. To start, players are recommended to have a gear score of 150 for hard mode. If you want to match-make for a challenging incursion, you MUST have a higher gear score (exact score was not specified during reveal). This means that if you don't have the gear, you cannot do the incursion on challenging mode, at least via matchmaking.

No respawns, ever: Ever say "when does the challenge begin"? You will in incursions. Not only is the new content going to be very difficult, you will not get any help from a checkpoint to resume progress. If your team dies in an incursion, you start from the beginning. Destiny players might recall Nightfall missions, where group death resulted in returning to orbit and starting from scratch. Same deal here, but incursions are expected to be longer missions, so don't die. The risk and difficulty are high, but the rewards are equally high according to Ubisoft Massive.

No limit to incursion runs/rewards: Incursions within The Division are considered weekly challenges. You can run them multiple times, but your best rewards come the first time you complete the incursion. If you have multiple characters to play on, you can run the incursion with each character and reap the weekly benefits once per character. After you've done your weekly incursion, all future incursions, like challenging missions, will offer lesser rewards. They'll still be great rewards, but you won't see things like the new raid set gear drop as often.

Dark Zone "supply drops": Getting a little bored of crushing players in the Dark Zone or are you still wishing for conflict in the game's most dangerous region? Supply drops are going to shake things up. Every hour or so non-contaminated supply drops will be dropped from the sky into the DZ. These drops contain high-level rewards but will be surrounded by enemy AI. These drops will be advertised, so other players will be running toward them. Expect to enter rogue status if there's anyone else in your DZ as the rewards are first-come, first-serve. Since the supply drops is not contaminated, you will not need to extract the items received from the drop and they cannot be forfeited upon death. Oh yeah, groups don't have to fight for gear - your entire group gets something.

Death camera changes: You no longer are stuck on that boring death camera when you do go down. If you're dead, you can still spectate players in your group. You can't free-roam with your death camera, but you may be able to help your squad out by watching what's behind them or calling out flanking enemies.

Daily/weekly assignments: new assignments handed out will have players completing tasks for various rewards, which are said to include phoenix credits, division tech and possible gear-related rewards.

The 1.1 update will be available for download starting April 12. The Division's first incursion is called "Falcon Lost" and features enemies from the Last Man Battalion (LMB), the faction once lead by Colonel Bliss and seen more in the later stages of the leveling process within the game. This first incursion will take place underground. "Falcon Lost" is the first incursion of many to come. Ubisoft didn't mention anything more on when future incursions will be coming to the game but did say that every incursion will be unique from any other.

Ubisoft Massive went out of the way multiple times to mention that incursions are not for your under-geared or weaker-skilled players. Because of the level of difficulty and the team coordination required, you will need to team up with good players that have good gear and are capable of communicating and coordinating. Players that step into an incursion without any strategy are already doomed.

Players will also get some teasers about what's going on in the world of The Division if they pay close-enough attention to chatter happening during this first incursion. No spoilers were given, so we'll all have to play the new content to find out what they were hinting at in today's update overview, but the way the developers talked during the live feed made it sound like the effects of "Dollar Flu (green poison)" are being felt outside of New York City. We know more content that expands the game is coming, perhaps the viral outbreak isn't isolated to just NYC?

If you want to view Ubisoft Massive's Twitch stream that covers all of the details mentioned here and see a little snippit of Falcon Lost, head over to the official "TheDivisionGame" Twitch page and view the Special Report video from today, March 31. The video is just over an hour long.

My "rogue" character is finally 30 :p

All Story Missions and All Side quests done up until (and including) Turtle Bay, I must still have 90% of the Encounters remaining (primarily to keep the World Bosses up)

Sitting on 81k/65k/19k with terribad level 15-20 weapon mods

I'm mostly happy with the stat distribution from the welfare loot I transferred across from my Main

Maybe I misunderstood your motives for a "rogue" character. Going rogue in the DZ is high risk and has high rewards if your rogue survives the manhunt. But creating an alt rogue character just to steal other players loot removes the high risk as death as rogue doesn't introduce any major pain (your DZ cash is zero, you don't care about your alt DZ level) and you generally don't fear death as it does not have any real consequences. If you manage to get to extraction, your loot gets transferred to the main (and in most cases, the loot is not that great anyway).

In my opinion, creating an alt "rogue" to avoid dropping experience/losing DZ cash is a real coward move as it takes away the excitement (and panic) of a manhunt. Going rogue always had the implied consequence that you will have to test yourself (and your team) against a lot of players going after you. I found the rogue situation on PS4 not much of a problem (compared to PC where you have people cheating by increasing stats such as RPM/DMG/DPS/ARM) and when we do go rogue, we know that one can easily drop several levels.

I personally never found going rogue too much of an incentive. The exp gained is less than just running the major bosses and the drops are hardly worth it - only once did we manage to drop 4 players and bagged 3 HE each. I used to go rogue in the beginning, but it always made me feel "dirty" when taking out another team and stealing their loot.

I hope that Massive implements an account-wide PVP level and shared DZ credits to prevent this latest move to go mainstream - it will just become a sweaty PVP session if they don't.

You don't have any friends

Me and my "friend" did a two man Lincoln Tunnel Challenge Mode last night. By far the easiest of the challenging missions. Even when it's not our daily, we still do it just for the Phoenix Credits.

To others playing on PC (medic and Greybush are the only 2 I remember), feel free to join if you're running solo. The most my group has currently is 3, but that also varies pending on what the other 2's plans are that evening. One 'negative' is that we prefer using skype just because we're already setup there.

I had my first absolute-hacker encounter last night. A rogue that would teleport, even to rooftops you don't have access too and was firing a minigun M1A. After 2 deaths I just ran in the opposite direction.

My DZ time was mostly solo and finally cracked 40, almost 41. I can ALMOST smell the finish line.... hopefully in time for the Incursions :D

Will do, wanted to build my level up a bit before joining anoyone, think I'm at level 25 or so now.

Who says I'm doing it for the loot in the first place. If you've played any Eve, you'll be familiar with the term 'good fight'

I disagree. How is this 'cowardly' if it's exactly what everyone does once they've hit DZR50 if they even return to the DZ? (High rank players griefing lower ranks)

As for the 'testing yourself' comment, my Main is PVE focused... Enemy Armor Damage rerolls all over the place, Firearms stat through the roof, lowish HP. I know that this character isn't geared/specced for PVP in mind

Now that my alt is 30, I can build into high HP tank/Electronics build without butchering my Main's meticulously crafted gear (spent over 1000 PxC rerolling in total) and build myself a PVP character.

If I'm successful with building this, I'd very much like to remove my Main from the DZ all together

I hope that Massive implements an account-wide PVP level and shared DZ credits to prevent this latest move to go mainstream - it will just become a sweaty PVP session if they don't.

The number of times I wished that my normal Credits currency was shared :(

Account-wide PVP level won't happen due to the planned implementation of Gear Score (character specific) in the DZ

Yea I keep looking at my lower level crafting mats that I'm too lazy to convert and wish I could just craft on my other character.
Then I remember I can with this character and just stick it in my stash, but still wish it was shared anyways (saves the log-out).

Account wide PvP would have nothing to do with gear score though? All it does is remove the need to "grind" to 50?

Give me an add. Either scruff-304 or scruff_304. Can never remember my Ubisoft name :p

I usually run with couple mates, but if I'm ever solo, I'll def have a run with you :)

Have you not considered using TeamSpeak though? It uses a lot less resources then Skype. And there are a lot of good servers available that lets you create temp channels.

Bought the game yesterday and played for an hour must say i like the story line of it only on lvl8 now

If anybody wants to play u can add me on Balsak85

Will do.
Teamspeak was thrown around, but when one didn't have it installed, it just became easier to go where we all already were setup. It may be worth looking at again though.
