Sorry for late reply, De-selecting "Auto Detect / Auto Change resolution on boot-up" fixed the problem. it now sticks to 1080/60 thanks a million
 
Ordered and picked up the MG582 from AVSupply today. Awesome service. Just getting used to the device and getting it setup proper.

AvSupply is the best. I only started using them last year and the service is awesome.
 
Anybody know how to get the MXQ out of this constant bootloop? I switched it on, but it now never takes me to the home screen. Stuck at the splash screen. Tried powering off and on again same thing.
 
Has anybody got DSTV NOW and Supersport working with the DroidTV MG582? I assume the box is pre-rooted? If so, I take it Now TV doesn't work?

The latest beta firmware is GMS .... so it's not rooted, I don't have premium DSTV otherwise I could have tested for you.
 
I have the MXIII 1GB and my dog ate my remote :twisted: it was the standard remote that came with the device.
Which remote would you guys suggest I get as a replacement?

Where can I get the latest firmware for this device, and does it use Kodi, or is it still XBMC Gotham?

The MXIII is a few firmware releases ahead

I've been pushing for the MG582 to get the 112k4 release. Hopefully they release something soon

I'm new to SPMC can someone tell me how to disable subtitles. Clicking the subtitle icon doesn't give me the option.
Also is there a way to show only unwatched movies in the menu. Selecting the unwatched option under movies doesn't have the poster art and is not in alphabetical order.

Disabling Subtitles

While the movie is playing, press the OK button on your remote to bring up the sub menu. Navigate to the Audio icon and uncheck the "Subtitles" option, then scroll further down and select "Set as default for Video Playback"

Unwatched thumbnails

After choosing the unwatched option, press left direction on your remote to bring up the side menu, and keep pressing OK on the display option until you get the view you want

J, i noticed under device name, that this MG582 shows there. Is this correct?
