How? Trying to watch live TV gives me an error "make sure device is registered"

Because DSTV Now needs different device ID's.
All the boxes use the same device ID.
Maybe try using the same firmware as EnT@nGleD?
Have you also registered your device and put in the login details?

I have the MyGica ATV582 and had the same "make sure device is registered" error. I've loaded the "ATV 582 FIRMWARE UPDATE 03-31-15" firmware and DSTV Now works perfectly.

I'm not sure if you can use this firmware on your MG582 but the 2 models looks similar and both make use of the Cortex A9 Quad Core CPU. Maybe Jaque can advise if it is possible?

Ah, must be the firmware thing... Not important though will wait for the next AVsupply firmware

Hi Guys

I was thinking about getting a Roku 3 but the biggest problem I've seen with the Roku is that if you want access to UK content, services such as Hulu (US) will not be available? Is that correct? Will the Droid box offer more flexibility or will the same problem occur?

Secondly - Does anyone have any experience with the Emby app for Kodi - will this work fine for local content on the MG582? (just music, videos, pictures). I have an Emby server on a Win7 box (it also runs SickRage) all connected with Ethernet.

I will never buy one again. My unit stopped working and I was basically told to buy a new one.
Purchased the droid today.
Roku support is ****

Cool thanks.
Think my mind is made op on the Droid

Does all the new MG582's come with the KR50 remote now?
Sounds like the old IR remote had some serious issues

Weird thing happened, I got the Droid and hooked it up.

I played a movie on the HP Server, using plex server and plex on the droid
It stuttered quite badly and the units are not that far away from each other, well the modem is in the middle of the 2. The HP is wired and obviously the droid is wireless

I then ran downstairs and thought perhaps after troubleshooting, the cable is screwed, replaced it with a shorter one and it seems better now.
Will update as I dont know if thats the issue yet.
Also updated plex server

Can I use hardware and software acceleration on the MXQ? What's best hardware or software re Kodi
