the guys that bought the Xiaomi Mi box where did your'll buy it from, how long was delivery and what was the total cost with customs, looking to get one

Cyber range.

R1700 + R99 courier fee. More expensive than getting it from an overseas site, but:

- The guy (Chris) that I was in contact at Cyber range was incredibly helpful and kept me updated at every step of the process. It was pretty refreshing to receive professional service from a local vendor.

- They get stock every 10-14 days. Once stock arrives (and you've paid), it takes 1 day for the box to arrive at your doorstep.

I pretty happy with the experience tbh.

I can only concur with this, had mine within four days after ordering when stock arrived, even if it is some Rands more expensive than ordering from overseas, worth every cent with an online service that actually give one personal feedback on what is happening with your order.

Is anybody using the Amazon Fire TV as their Media Streaming Device?

Was wondering about the Nvidia Shield vs Amazon Fire TV vs Xiaomi Mi Box 3 comparison for local use - Kodi & DSTV NOW.

I'm using the fire TV 'stick' 2nd gen, no complaints. Got Kodi no DSTV Now though. The stick is just as responsive as my Roku 4 so in terms of performance i don't notice a difference

True that but acceptable, rather have it arrive safely than through SAPO and have the wait.

Very excited to give this a go. Guys feedback has been great and reviews too.

Never used my Apple TV to its full potential so would be keen to see what other opportunities arise. Specially since the "official" non side loaded version of Kodi for ATV4 can't do plugins or such.

Hope you get it soon.

When tracking mine from Geekbuying it shows it has arrived in SA and it's at JIMC A. Will make a turn at my local PO.

Good luck. When it arrives in SA that's the longest bit. Parcel at international post..then parcel to customs. Can take one day or 20 . Then back to international Sapo. Then dispatched to loca
. Then after 3 to 5 days arrives at your post office.

-ditto-

Been waiting for 97 days for an ebay purchase...

ps - you can be hit for up to R1500 duties/fines/sundries on a device declared $20 below value. ALWAYS make sure you INSIST on the actual amount from ALIEXPRESS. Reason they do not declare it properly is they then need to pay duties. Had a case where ALIEXPRESS seller paid EVERYTHING after a complaint was lodged on a $115 item he declared as $20...

Thanx for the info.

Hopefully by the time I return back to Joburg end of June, it will be waiting for me at my local PO.
