I can confirm the new DSTV Now APK(version 1.40.6) works full screen on the Mibox. Only issue is the dimming effect.
I like the new interface.

Sorry guys if this has been asked before, planning to bring in media boxes for me and some friends. We are looking at mid to high-end devices using Amlogic s912 processors. We will need the ability to integrate DSTV now and showmax, Bluetooth, casting and maybe some capture. What make and models would you recommend?

Any reason why you need that specific processor?

My vote: Mi Box (Though, not the processor you want)

EDIT: Wait a minute, found one with that chip: Mi Box 3S

You can even pause live tv

Upgraded to 1.40.6. First off, the new interface is really nice. There does seem to be a few bugs though, such as when clicking on "See all" under movies the app crashes and the well documented dimming issue. Anyway, at least we don't need a mouse anymore.

EDIT: Also, screensaver kicks in every few minutes.

It was buggy at first, and also the screensaver came in every 5 minutes. I don't have any issues with "see all".
Uninstall the app and reinstall it again. It worked for me.

Tried 1.40.6 as well on my Amazon fire TV v1.

It works a lot better. Can actually see what's playing now. Wish there was a guide though

Finally no more rooted device message on my FireTV 2 , the last version that worked without issues for me ( before this 1.40.6 ) was 1.36.1 . What an upgrade

There is an issue with the screensaver turning on after 5 minutes. I've set it to two hours now.
Screensaver and the dimming are the issues now. Everything else is perfect.
