The Droid TV thread

Have been searching for a full sized Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad that supports Android, surprisingly hard to find, most are mini sized. @avsupply don't you wana import this one pleeeease http://www.androidguys.com/2013/11/19/aerb-bluetooth-keyboard-w-touchpad-ir-blaster-review/

I'm sure AVSupply can source the Logitech K400 as well - and that's wireless (not BT). What device are you using it with? BT won't work with the MX2 - you need Wireless for that.

Actually Logitech do a few:

Had a look at that keyboard, it's for Windows only. Yeah, I want it for a MX. Didn't realise that MX didn't have Bluetooth

Don't worry, we are bringing in a wireless version for the MX.

I think diets wants a full sized keyboard - I'm willing to bet those Logitechs do the trick.
Spot on! Haha. Seems like they work on some Android devices, there is even an app to help them work. Keyboard doesn't have dedicated Android buttons, such as menu. But I think I will take the gamble.

Oh, they'll work 100% and you can probably remap the windows key to the menu key, etc. Remapping involves some simple file editing - not difficult at all. Shout when you have your unit and I'll help with reprogramming it to suit your needs on the droidTV.

HaHa! Don't worry, it works, the AV cable as well :)

I have this mini wireless keyboard which is almost identical to the one mentioned above.

I have tested it on the Droid and it works very well but I have now replaced it with the T2 mouse. The T2 mouse works exceptionally well with the DroidTV. You don't even need to adjust the air mouse sensitivity. All the buttons work as they should. You can operate the DroidTV using just one hand. You need to use two hands on the mini keyboard and a track pad is much more difficult to position than an air mouse pointer. You need to press the left mouse button while swiping across the touchpad to pull the menus up and down. With the air mouse you just hold down the OK button (in the perfect position) and swipe through the air. I don't think that you can type any faster on the mini keyboard than using the onscreen keyboard with the T2 mouse. Android was designed for touch screen smartphones and the air mouse seems to me to be the best replacement for a touch screen on a TV. The only thing missing from the T2 mouse is an IR On/Off button to power the DroidTV which may in fact even be an option.
