EDIT - Firmware link removed

Recent firmware releases have a problem with XBMC and HD Ready TVs (720p).

I'm going to test all the available firmwares and confirm which one works best

Sure will give it a try... I tried the finless 1.8b & 1.8 link you provided yesterday. 1.8b was working fine but has sound issues with 1.8 which i am not able to get working even with soundabout when F10 pro is connected. But 1.8 is really snappy.

Droid TV up and running with just Openelec. Loving it.

As many have said before. AVSupply is the man. Went beyond the call of duty yet again with excellent customer support. Please keep supporting him guys :)

Was looking for an App to install on DroidTV that would allow me to mirror or stream content from my MacBook, iPhone, iPad and Dell (Windows 7)

Bought this app and it works wonders with everything, apple devices have airplay built in so no need for extra software, I had to install AirPinPCsender on Win7 Dell.

Been testing this all morning and all of them work flawlessly even over wifi G so my wifi N should suffice at home.
I can switch back and forth between everything NO lag, NO errors.

Even installed the light version on Nexus 7 and mired DELL desktop to Nexus 7.

Anyway hope this helps someone.

I had some trouble streaming 1080p iTunes videos to the DroidTV, but found option to use External Player as your default so installed MXtube and tried sending 1080p version of Hugo 7.8GB over wifi G from Dell to DroidTV and played after 3s.

Very chuffed.

To provide feedback on various firmwares that i tested ( Finless 18b, Finless 18 & MBox-140727). Out of all of these, 18b Finless works the best for me. Its very smooth and the sound works fine without the need for SoundAbout App. Finless 18 is good as well but it still needs SoundAbout app

The video issue and lag that i was facing is now resolved.

But one issue i still have is net access speed. On all the firmware no matter whether i am connected via Wifi or Ethernet, The download speed is not that great. Not sure what might be causing this.

Regarding download speed, are you talking about internet streaming speed?
 
No, I am taking about the general download speed on M8. I am on Afrihost 4mb business uncapped and i can download at around 3 mbps on my PC but on M8, It crawls no matter i how i am connected. Its strange.
