The Droid TV thread

Anyone having buffering issues when streaming NTV on a 4 or 5 MB line ? Will the buffering end if i go the 10MB route?

Also is there TV guide that i can install on XBMC that works with ntv channels ?

Helping my cousin setup his one
but need help with trying to his usb drive to be added as a network share on his pc
So he can just copy over new content over the network

I can do this on my openelec setup, but Im not sure how to access the mxIII from another pc??

How do I correct 5 movies that the scraper got wrong?
I'm not sure which movie is which so I can't do a manual search.

If you want XBMC to select the correct movie then you could do the following.

1.) Find the movie on the IMDB
2.) Copy the IMDB url for that movie & paste it into a text file
3.) Save the text file as an .nfo file with the same name as the movie in that directory.

e.g.

Titanic
Titanic.nfo

Likewise for TV Shows.

1.) Find show on http://thetvdb.com/
2.) Copy URL into text file and save a tvshow.nfo in TV shows folder

Thanks I thought XBMCwas supposed to make life easier :)
I find it strange that if you click refresh and the edit title comes up, why can't it just show the file name as it is on the hdd- then you know what movie it is and can then search from there- pretty simple solution

Here is a new video review of the MXIII if anybody is interested. I just downloaded the Antutu Video Tester 2.2 app (155MB download at start) to see how it works on my own device and I must say that the graphics performace is very impressive! The app tests the ability to play a wide range of different formats and the MXIII only fails on 1 or 2 very obscure file types (skip to 13:20 to see the list of formats).

My Amazon fire just around. Rushed home to set it up, only to find my TV on the blink

Hi all, didn't know about this thread. I'm also an Android TV box owner, however I can share and offer assistance regarding these boxes as I am on my 3rd box.

Thanks JvanD and welcome- guys like me need all the help we can get :)

@Barfish88: Does the video also freeze when you are streaming the same content directly off a USB flash drive? Does it also happen when streaming directly from a site like Hulu or Netflix? Have you sent a PM to AVSupply? He is very knowledgeable about the different firmware versions. He has really gone to great lengths to help me with my problem and even contacted the factory directly.

@imranpanji: Enjoy the new machine! When you've had some time to learn how to use it, maybe you can sideload the Antutu Video Tester app and let us know what formats it can play? I used the second link to download the Video Tester from the Google Play Store in case you haven't installed it yet.

@JvanD: Let us know what machine/s you are currently using and any useful streaming sites as well as XBMC add-ons that may be of interest.

not sure, all my media is on my server. connected via lan.

Hi Barfish88

I've sent you a link to version 13.2. Please uninstall the version that's on the M8 and test with 13.2 - You will lose all the customizations, but if it works, I'll make you a new custom firmware

Thanks
