Enter the following commands:

Type in: CREATE USER 'xbmc' IDENTIFIED BY 'xbmc'; and press return
Type in: GRANT ALL ON *.* TO 'xbmc'; and press return

On the grant all. it creates the xbmc user. I even checked using the user list option.

My uninstall and reinstall of MySQL has stuffed up somewhere and now I can't even login. FFS.
 
i dont know.. im getting 2 replacement power supplies i think from Jaque, so will see how it goes. Not sure how im going to get it, as im just extremely busy this week at work with Xmas coming up
 
Jaque is any of your guys going to be close to Woolworths Adderley Street, The V&A waterfront, Long Street etc?
 
Do the both of you need me to come down to Cape Town to help facilitate the session?
 
You guys aren't "needy" enough on here tonite - I am going to go now, to another forum and offer my help there ... Might return ... Who knows

F*** me I am doing my head in. Please if someone can help, the Google machine spits out too many that don't help.

After:

I get

I am logged in as root. WTF is going on? I can create the user but I cannot set the privileges.

Somebody, anybody?

Is your Mysql server a windows or linux machine?
