The Droid TV thread

anybody know on Kodi, how to remove the stupid CPU/log info running? my daughter pressed something on the remote, and it showed up. However, i tried all buttons on the remote and cant get this away. I even unplugged the power adaptor, and it still there.

Or anywhere in the settings to remove it. Its doing my head in, as im watching the cpu etc running

"o"

It's the "Context" button. That's "o" (oh) on the keyboard. Not sure which button it is on a standard remote, I have it labelled as "context" on my Harmony, so it's probably labelled that way in the standard MCE keymap. (I think it's the same as the right-click / context menu button when you're in the tv show list)
worst case scenario, plug in a keyboard and press "o"

Thanks guys, will check it out. Would one be able to untick debugging as well, in settings to avoid it happening again?

I don't think it's a debugging thing - I think it's an informational thing. (I use it to check CPU / GPU usage etc.) So you probably can't untick it. You should be able to unmap the button in one of the settings files tho, but that's beyond my knowledge (and remember it does other stuff too). Your best bet is the Kodi forums - I'm sure someone else has had this issue.

You can try changing the acceleration from AMCodec to Mediacodec Surface if running Kodi 16.0 beta 2.
But Kodi has problems with AMLogic devices at the moment.

Are you prohibited from selling the media players, I can't find it on your site?

If any of the Mygica 582 owners want to try Android Lollipop on their devices, hit me up. Been running it for a month almost but have some concern where Google is heading.

Have you noticed any performance increase?
Please can you send a link, i would like to try this out?

What is the best version of Kodi / Xbmc to use atm. I had Kodi installed and was getting 1080p stuttering issues.

Just done a fresh install

I am looking for a Android Media player for my son. Want him to be able to download games from Play Store and play it with a game controller via the media player on his tv. Any suggestions? He also has an external USB 3 drive with movies etc. that needs t play via the Media player.

The Nvidia Shield should be perfect and your number one choice. If you can afford it.
