The Droid TV thread

Ok, late to the game on this thread. What is the current recommendation for and Android Box?
 
Is DSTV Now working with Android 5.1.1 . Unsupported device message but on Kit kat there's no problem

I always tell people and clients, that if you live in an Apple ecosystem, ie all your devices are Apple, then stick to it across everything.

If you are currently using Android, then get an Android media player, unless you want to experience something new.

But i cringe at work, when i get an oldish client wanting the latest and greatest and then come back a hundred times asking me how this and that works.

But im Android biased, and i wouldnt suggest the Apple tv. Droid just has so many possibilities, that unless you are happy with certain things only like Netflix, etc then go with an Android Media player. Roku, Shield, or a chinese box etc.

According to the hardware bargains thread, a few guys have bought from them before. $20 isn't much to test them with anyway.
 
Hi Guys... I'm looking for a gamepad for my minix neo u1.

The G910 and the Tronsmart Mars G01 is the recommended gamepads for minix boxes. The g910 seems to be sold out in most parts

Used DX and Aliexpress many times so far without any issues.

Just make sure your seller has a high customer rating and you shouldn't have any issues.

I've used DX twice, most recently about 2 months ago. Shipping took a month total, of which half was within SA (sigh). Pro tip - try to buy items which are listed as "in stock" and "next day shipping". Else you can easily end up waiting an extra 7 - 10 days just for them to get stock in.
