Which is better to use for Android games? The "Tronsmart Mars G01 2.4G Wireless Gamepad" or the "PS3 Wireless Controller", the "DoubleShock one?
Cheers
Looking to do this for mine, main question is, how easy is it to use for them? I'm dreading all the tech support requests.Bought the 585 for my in-laws.
I was very surprised that it handled 1080p x265 without a glitch!

They want one for Netflix/Showmax and Kodi
Purely as a matter of interest, what were you hoping to gain by upgrading?
I think Showmax is full of BS.The latest versions of Showmax doesn't work properly on the player. The menu's are all screwed up and it's a pain to navigate. I called them and they said apparently the other people with the same issue upgraded their firmware, which fixed this. So I thought I might as well give it a try.
So... anyone with the firmware for the MX3?
Nvidia’s new Shield TV supports 4K HDR video and has Google’s Assistant
It also gets access to Amazon’s library of 4K video content
Nvidia says that existing Shield TV devices will get the new one’s features through a software update delivered sometime in January.
Install dolphin browser. Then download dstv and connect app from apk mirror site. Try dstv now version ,1.6.4 . Look forward to feedback. Mine arrives this weekMy Mi Box arrived this evening and I've had some good fun setting it all up. I can't find Dstv Now or Supersport apps in its Play Store though - anyone know how to get Dstv Now or Supersport involved on an Android TV device?
Firstly you need to install Sideload Launcher from the play store as many apps are not natively supported by Android TV and this app will provide access from the home screen to these apps. To get started with sideloading you should install ES File Explorer from the Play Store and can either copy apks you've downloaded on your pc onto a flash drive and install on the mi box or use the es file Explorer's built in browser to browse to apk mirror sites to install. I recommend installing the Chrome browser and Google Drive as Chrome firstly seems to work well and I use Google drive to copy apks from my pc to my Shield. Here's a big one: many/most sideloaded apps incl dstv now and SS require a mouse as these apps are designed for touch screens. On the Shield I can use my right controller stick but I would guess that you would need some type of air mouse or normal mouse plugged into the mi box.My Mi Box arrived this evening and I've had some good fun setting it all up. Awesome, thanks! I'll have to figure out a plan with a mouse though. These are the latest versions of the apps that should work with Android TV:
Dstv Now 1.22.1 (can only open by using the web browser and clicking on the channel links on the dstv now website)
SS 4.0.5
You can use a normal pc USB mouse until you get a airmouseAwesome, thanks! I'll have to figure out a plan with a mouse though. Isn't there some way I can use my phone as a mouse?

The reason I said try DSTV Now 1.6.4 is because it works natively without browser on my Razer Forge TV box running Android TV 6 ,just like Mi Box. On apk mirror site check for older versions. You can use pc mouse to setup everything and test . It's faster than phone remote apps
