The Droid TV thread

A search on this site (My Broadband) for www.pitv.co.za shows up this Droid TV thread, but no actual direct reference to pitv, stated as SA's Leading IPTV Service Provider. (Yes the site is pitv and not iptv).
Has anyone used this subscription service and do you have any good or bad comments?
 
I have this strange thing happening with Showmax on my Mi Box where it only shows the first ten episodes in the first season of a series, even where there are more episodes and seasons available. Is it something to do with the remote not being able to scroll properly or is it something with the app?

Plug a mouse in as well. I use that for scrolling.

Will give it a shot, thanks.

Edit: No luck. Plugged in a USB wireless mouse but there was no difference from the controller. Still can only see the first season and only ten episodes in that season.

Problem is that once recovered to the Amlogic image, you need to modify the stock firmware to load over the image you restored. Mygica don't supply a .img file that flashes using this tool, so you need to use a generic S802 image.

When the S802 image is loaded, the MyGica will think it's a different box and will prevent the MyGica update from installing. The way around it is to remove the hardware check on the MyGica firmware file, re-sign it and flash the normal way

If you manage to recover to an S802 firmware, try find a MyGica custom ROM that has the hardware check removed

Instructions if you want to give it a bash

Anyone watching SA Sport on their Android box? We were given one and trying to see if there is an add on or something. I currently stream super rugby to the TV using chromecast, just wondering if these boxes cater for Super rugby and who's using what.

I'm actually getting insane with the pointer and keyboard of the MyGica remote, does anybody know of either:

1) a proper compact keyboard with trackpad that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and connects to a MyGica; or

2) By default, an Android AND an iOS (gf and me) app that allows your phone to be used as a remote.

i want to buy a mi box i got a minix u1 and want to sell it because if you have a 4k tv and want to stream 4k videos from youtube it cant play in 4k because no vp9 support also netflix if i am not mistaken is in 480p no hd because not licence with netflix but if you dont have a 4k tv and dont want hd netflix its a good tv box
 
the guys that bought the Xiaomi Mi box where did your'll buy it from, how long was delivery and what was the total cost with customs, looking to get one
 
OK I have ditched Dstv ages ago. Use batmanstream for Rugger on PC. Was wanting non Dstv options if anyone is using. Apologies should have made that clearer.
 
Is anyone able to Live Stream on Dstv Now? As soon as I choose a channel the apps crashes, Havent tried Catchup yet.
