The Droid TV thread

I know this has been asked before, but where do I get a release of Google Chrome to load onto my Android device that allows me to stream DSTV? I get a message
"Playback on this device is not supported"
or if I go "Request Desktop Site" a message
"Please upgrade your browser. An upgraded browser will make your computer safer and improve your web experience"

kind regards

SuperSport used to work just fine for me, however since Saturday it’s been giving me some issues. On the plus side however I see that DSTV Now quality on the SS streams has greatly increased so I just went back to watching it through there.

In Terrarium - how do I know whether a stream is HEVC or not?
I watched the latest episode of Star Trek Discovery (ep 09) last night. Quality was 1080p (and it looked great) and file size was 791mb. Possible HEVC source?

File Size... HEVC file sizes are normally small, even though if says 1080p...

Last movie I downloaded was a BDrip, and it was something like 14GB's

Jip had the same problem. After alot of resetting and rebooting and trying everything I went to my connect id details. Noticed one of my smartcards was not linked. Linked it and everything was sorted. Logged in with no problem.

Hope this helps. And I have two boxes and only the bedroom one had this issue.
I also had to link the smart cards again...

Yes, the website automatically identifies that you are using a mobile browser and because there is an app available it will prevent you from watching through chrome

Nope 1080p hevc series is under 1 gig (for 8 bit).
Movies 1080p hevc under 3000 bit rate is around 2-3 gig.
Untouched bluray over 10 gig
Untouched 4k bluray over 50-100 gig

So, looks like the DSTV Now app is officially supported on Android TV. Can install it from the Play Store on both my Mi Box and nVidia Shied TV.

Fantastic!!!!
But I don't understand what is Their thinking...
Coz 1 account = 4 streams.

Make more sense for them to have a paid streaming service for like 200

What do you mean 1 account is 4 streams? Sounds like a mixed response? Positive or negative that?

It is...
I am happy they launched an app for us... however this will mean the are going to lose out on alot of income ( like from me) but still provide a service.

When I look at the above it doesn't make business sense that is why I think there might be something else coming.
