Same here .. best electronic kit I ever bought.Without a doubt specially now with the DSTV Now officially supported on it. Mine is really simplistic in terms of what I use it for but I love it.
Terrarium tv and dstv now..

Worst piece of junk ever. Installed Kodi and Terrarium TV, could not watch any video. The screen goes green and there’s only audio. It clearly does not support all file formats. This was for a friend. Went and bought him a Mi Box and everything works flawlessly.

Whether I watch it on Cell C LTE or Telkom LTE, it buffers insanely. Popcorn is slightly better.
When I watch Netflix or Showmax, no buffer.
I'm watching on 50mbs fibre... I noticed the same...
Also Google videos are missing.

Just out of interest, why would you say this box is better than the Telkom lit box? Different specs?
1. Look and feel of the box and remote.
2. Mi box is a certified Android box ( not sure of the lit)
3. Cheaper- importing is around 950- 1000 if you can get a group buy
4. Mi box delivers on more then it says, friends of mine complained esp dstv now.
5. Gpu is almost double the lit.
I am very happy with the mi box, I haven't heard anyone say that about the lit box yet.

You guys using Kodi, do you use a DNS service or anything? I am running, for the first time since ditching Netflix, a DNS service(Getflix) and it seems to have sorted out the buffering issues. Well ,last night I watched a movie without buffering. Dunno if I am just lucky or what. I see IP Vanish gets punted on every website where Kodi is mentioned.

Which version of the Mi box do you guys buy ?
Oh ok, I was curious to know as I have the Telkom Lit and found it rather good.
The Telkom Lit is a certified box too... On the price aspect, it's R1099. Not far off from the MiBox when a group buy. I have no complaints on the DStv now point. It has the DStv android TV version in the playstore and works without issues.
Its GPU is a Penta-core ARM Mali 450. Not sure what the mi box has, hence why I'm asking about it. I just wanna see the differences for future reference. They look very similar.

The Lit box and mi box have similar specs, no big differences, only difference will be the optimization of the software, lit box has a newer version if android TV but is not optimized properly while the mi box is and Netflix still needs to be certified for the lit box.
