Anyone know if there is an EPG for DSTV for Android anywhere?

Thank F for this, since I got the Shield we've been eating data. I watch a lot of let's plays etc and on HD you annihilate your cap, 480p is plenty for this kinda stuff.

The new UI is also much better.

I see there IS a place where you can set your quality. It is hidden deep inside the settings menu...

Yup, that is right, we are talking about Youtube. The setting for quality is hidden DEEP, and it is for AndroidTV...
 
Can someone with a Shield please confirm at what framerate content is played.

Does the output default to 60 fps or does content play correctly at 24/25 fps?

Different framerates play fine on my setup but it depends on what you're playing from. NOW stutters like a mofo for some reason on mine, can't resolve it no matter what I set the Shield to. Kodi auto-switches between the framerates once set up.

I however leave the upscaling and framerate change to the TV, the upscaling on the Shield is kark.

Which iptv service are you guys using with mibox? I hope to watch some rugby, struggling with SlingTV setup. Pm me please if you don’t want to post on thread

The last time you posted it you didn’t state they were yours and made it seem like you just found out of your good will.

Secondly, they gumtree links rather just upload them to the forums classifieds section.
 
So I guess thing to remember is those not on the Lit Box, MiBox or Shield is to not upgrade your DSTV Now application as they started blocking other devices.

In one manner I’m glad that they noticed the other two boxes and not the Lit Box only however in the other breath I think it’s crap that every single android mobile device can get the APK. I guess with the proper support for TV they need to clamp down somewhat.

Haven’t seen any issues with staying on the old APK for Android TV and I presume Boxes who run the mobile variant of Android will be fine still.
