The Droid TV thread

When you come to replace your router or Android box, keep in mind that there are ones out there that can be used as "media servers".

I have 2 Zidoo X9S at home. One on each TV. Each has a 1TB SATA hdd connected to the SATA port. My router is a TP Link Archer D7 and that has a 2TB USB3 hdd connected. They store all my media and that is accessible anywhere on the network.

Anyone know where I can get a live or delayed stream of Carte Blanche?

I'm looking for an android box that's fast, has builtin chrome cast and digital audio line-out.

What do you guys recommend?

I'm really disappointed with my Mibox.
I constantly have to reset it.
Now my HDMI passthrough also stopped working and I only receive PCM.
Anyone else get HDMI dolby or surround working.
My mibox goes straight to receiver which goes to TV.

Sounds like your setup's the problem, not the box. Unless I'm picturing wrong.

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I just got my Xiaomi Mi Box yesterday, and I noticed there doesn't seem to be a shut down option anywhere (only sleep mode and reboot)? Now I'm just worried that I might damage the device if I unplug it from the wall (if I need to move it).

Nope it's fine. Just unplug and move. Have done it a few times already

Perfect, thanks very much. Are there any apps I should be trying out? Currently installed DSTV now, Kodi, Terrarium TV.

Speaking of ads...I've been streaming YouTube music for hours on end every weekend, and have not had a single ad :erm:
