I had a chat with the owner of Roeland Liquor yesterday about the new liquor law. He says his application is in (cost R8,000) but they won't approve any applications until after the election. Seems the DA doesn't want to rock the alcohol boat before the election ... they want the Muslim vote.

What happened to these 133614 votes to parties that didn't get a seat?
Working with 40000 votes/seat that more than 3 Seats missing.
Were these peoples votes wasted?

We are applying for a liquor license here in the Eastern Cape and they range from 5k-8k.

Interesting to see the number of spoilt votes, If there was a Spoilt Vote Party they would have come in at number 5!

No vote is ever wasted.

Hogwash, the DA want to bring back apartheid and the grope areas act again. That's why I'm voting for ANC like I did last election.

Congratulations, you've just made it to my ignore list. Go troll in peace.

I like the strong leadership of the Anc and will vote for them. My grandfather voted for them, my father voted for them, my grandchild will vote for them. Untill jebus comes, even though i dont believe in him.

Thanks for the feedback. That last bit his or your speculation? :p

Ding ding ding, we have another winner.

Mine. Why delay the process?

Who can we contact in Cape Town about this, I wanna double check the accuracy of this information. I dont see why government officials would stop working because there is an election and I would like to follow this up.

EDIT: Okay, its Western Cape Liquor Authority, trying to find a working number for them.
