Finally having basic "acceptable" internet has taught MyBB one thing at least, actions of the ANC is 90% responsible for landing us close to last place with regards to internet.

So MyBB would naturally have a disposition against the ANC, in fact the ANC support might of actually grown this year!

At our local voting station, the two ballot boxes had no seals on them. An off-duty cop approached the IEC officials and brought it to their attention. Nobody including the DA folk observing were aware that the seals had to be put on before the boxes are used. The seals are basically serialised cable ties that keep the box from being opened - the DA person said they thought they only get put on after the box is full. A tad disorganised and worrying.

In the doc I have it says the seals go on after the station closes unless it's a different seal ?

Since I got a DA spam e-mail I am unsure currently. Maybe spoil my ballot...

If the DA can't behave in a civil manner, then I cant vote for them.

That is so TRUE ...

I RECEIVED multiple SPAM smses from them. It just ANNOYED me ...

I hate being nagged who to vote for ... I'm not a child.

For me it's pretty easy - in Gauteng the ANC is for eTolls, and the DA & others is against. So for me, anyone but ANC in GP.

Nationally - if you agree that the ANC is the best option for corruption free government and getting kids their school books on time, then vote for 'em... Otherwise any one of the other parties.

Heck, even give the Ubuntu party a go - they're promising free electricity!

In general I agree with you...except the Ubuntu party bit... They're allied with those nut jobs at newera who want to screw up our financial system

I have just come from casting my vote! I must say it was the most exciting thing to do!! The sucky part was that I was in the line for an 1hr....was there at 8:05am and left about 20 minutes ago, from this post.

I voted DA for the national and provincial vote. I decided to vote DA because ANC has gotten too comfortable. My parents urged me to vote ANC, but I figured, you know what, it is my vote, my future. I am glad I made my vote today.

Man the queues are so damn long, went out of my house and walked to voting station since its near, saw the queue then turned around. 0.o Estimate of what the best time to vote is? Or do you think that's going to be the trend here day?

Well done. Good on you for not bending to pressure and doing what you believe is best for our country.

Does anyone know the time limit set on the IEC to release the final results?

VOTERS IN GOOD SPIRITS DESPITE LONG WAIT

Voting was a slow process at Blandford manor, in Noordhang in Johannesburg's northern suburbs on Wednesday with a snaking queue in excess of 400m.

The facility boasted picturesque surroundings with tall trees and a flowing river with ducks nearby.

The people near the front of the queue had all been waiting for over an hour to cast their votes, but were in good spirits despite this.

Moira Pitchers, 44, of Johannesburg North, said it was the duty of citizens to come out and vote.

"It's something we have to do," said Pitchers.

"We should be excited about it and hope for change."

Children were seen playing on the large grass areas near the main building -- with a thatch roof -- where voters filled in their ballots.

Voters could have a free cup of coffee provided by the manor. Chefs prepared breakfast outside that people could buy.

Just came back from our voting station. Took 20 minutes in all. In celebration I changed my MiFi SSID to "DA Middle Finger to the ANC" :D

LOL, they also had hand written signs all over the place advising people to use pens provided by the IEC + they were telling the voters in the queues to use the pens as well.
