Plan was not to leave so nowhere really [kid only finishes school end of this year]. Just thought that it was nice of my country to tell me that my dual citizenship was declined and I thus had to pick one or the other so have decided to let my SA one go. Still have permanent residency here so do not have to pack up and go quite just yet.
If I do have to go then a couple of choices. Have permanent residency in Honk Kong, Singapore, Mauritius and now in the Caribbean. New citizenship allows for visa free travel and stays in almost all counties [incl. all of Europe] so doubt whether I will settle in a single place.
Hmm. Have you already acquired your new citizenship? Because if you haven't you can apply to retain both. Only if you've already voluntarily acquired another country's citizenship will you automatically lose your SA one.
