The Electronic Music Thread

depends on your budget, i would recommend ableton live, comes with a bunch of sounds and is one of the more reasonably priced packages.
If you have a mac, logic studio is good. I know a lot of guys recommend reason but i don't like it very much, sound quality isn't great. Cubase is another good option, but it's pricey.
 
Assagai, your tracks are excellent. Your mixing is great - I am still trying to wrap my head around how to stuff all of the instruments into the frequency spectrum as well as the intricacies of compressors and whatnot. I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out though.

Yay! after searching for this intermittently, the past few years, i've found a good collection (not complete though) of 'unreleased' boards of canada material called a few old tunes vol 1 & 2. thank you uncapped adsl!

I have not heard all that much myself but he has been likened to BoC and what stuff I have heard has been excellent. He is from Pietermaritzburg, believe it not.
