The Error Code 619 thread

Hi I am using a E220 wireless modem with a vodacom sim.

It is giving me a Error 619:A

Any ideas of fixing this?

Error 619

Hi me to have error 619, some people claim its a registry problem... not so, if you have down loaded registry cleaners or registry fixers they wound work at all. These programs are very smart fakes / scams that generate errors randomly so you must think whoops my registry contains 650 errors.... nob rubbish.
Error 619 is a network related problem and you have yo contact your nearest service provider to help you fix the problem, I have follow up every trick to fix the problem manually myself... no cigar. My service provider done some settings on there side and error 619 was something of the past.

Do you work for 155?

I refuse point blank to uninstall and reinstall devices or software when something has worked for months (or years). If I get 619 errors, I keep re-trying, and always get connected eventually. Which pretty much confirms that the problem is not on my configuration, but a problem on the network.

What all the buggering about removing devices and reinstalling them achieves is that it buys time until the problem resolves itself. This is a great way to make the call centre's stats look good, and also ensures that the problems never get escalated to the engineers, and that in turn means that they will never, ever get sorted out. Couple that with call centre staff who refuse point blank to log a fault until you have practically reinstalled Windows, and you will continue to experience unreliable connections and frequent failures to connect.

That's life...

No need to uninstall any drivers, just contact your service provider because the bottle neck are there.
You get disconnected from them for a reason they self could not explain to me. This is the second time in 4 years this happens to me... error 619 I think in time they will figure out the problem.

Hi There,

To fix this authenticating problem, you will need to add a modem string to your modem in the advanced settings of your modem.

The string is below.

at+cgdcont=1,"IP","internet"

Copy as is and paste.

This always works for me on my clients.

Any new developments with this Ras Error Code 619? Since the RICA date I have been getting this error code. I have removed and re-installed the modem and software but to no avail.

Any idea how I can fix this please? I have a Huawei E220 modem and use the latest dashboard Version 10.1.108.29105. I run Windows XP on a Dell Latitude D430.

PS: just found out that the Vodacom shop who was supposed to RICA the SIM did not do so, the made a balls up. So I hope this is the problem.
