The F-35 thread

So the F-35 has a small problem, it can't use the APKWS class systems. It currently seems to be in the domain of the F-16, A-10 and F-15. The Gripen is slated to get that capability this year.

Below is a picture of an F-15 carrying 42 rockets including the LANTIRN required to designate them.

I have the video as fake but it came with the mages of the blast testing. It seems that F-35C requirements in a shared airframe might have other uses.

If it is real the F-35 is the genuine successor to the A-10 in shrugging off incoming fire.
 
The F-35 was showing up clearly in the near IR range, as seen in the video. A lot of missiles use this spectral range for targeting
