The food recall thread

So KFC's in my area, yes I went to more than 1, didn't have any burgers but all other products are still on there menu. Does this mean that there patties contain some form of enterprise products ?

More like Rainbow, somehow Enterprise have taken the brunt of this but Rainbow was also found to have issues.

What is the panic?

Just cook the stuff before you eat it if you are worried and you'll be 100% fine.

I actually don't know why they need to recall it at all. Just advise the public they need to cook everything until advised otherwise.

Really?

You handle the contaminated food... you touch the pan handles , you open the fridge.. rummage through, open a drawer for a knife... rummage through the cutlery

The food is the least of the issue there

So you probably cook your viennas, ate most of the packet but chuck the last 6 because of what, mass hysteria?

Nope, I would have gladly ate it. Wife chucked it in the bin before I got home. Will not eat it from the bin... obviously...

I threw out all my cold meats and sausages. And made sure i washed my hands thoroughly - although i always do. I keep many hand sanitisers handy.

I only buy food from Woolies, not sure what the status is on their processed meats (that didn't come from the obvious places).

Unfortunately Woolies also get some of their cold meat from enterprise.

Actually I wash my hands the moment I touch anything so even that wouldn't be a worry.

But I don't really have much of this stuff in my house and what I do have is frozen so it's no drama at all to me.

Why are they pulling bacon? Has the bacon been infected too?

I'm guessing rather safe than sorry in the case of cross contamination.

Remember it's a factory wide infection so could be transferred between products easily enough.
