Black Myth. Didn't get much review praise, but seems to have resonated well with the actual players. And it would be a big boost for the Chinese market...Added a poll! Lets see what the esteemed MyBB experts think

That would be quite the upset I think, the critics ultimately decide as the user vote only accounts for a small percentage, at least to my knowledge! Personally I think it will be between FF7 and Astro Bot...

IIRC, the public vote tallies 10% of the vote. Many on the jury are owned by Zeff Davis.
Would have gotten my vote. Best game I played this year.

At least it is nominated for a Golden Joystick GOTY but doubt drama queens will let it win. It's up against all these games plus others like Silent Hill 2 etc.

I think it might end up between Astro and FF7. They both lead in nominations, but being a 3D platformer might work against Astro. I'll be happy if any of those win, even Metaphor.
I really don't know though, it's a pretty strong year, and ER: SotE being there is a bit of a strange set up as well that could potentially sweep up the award.

I do believe there should be a Best DLC category. DLC's should not take full-game's spots.

Yea that's the rational solution...you can't even get to this DLC without playing a good chunk of the original game, it's kind of ridiculous.

Some great DLC's that came out recently so 100% there should be a category for this. Cyberpunk's DLC comes to mind recently

Dragon age, historically best known for its story. Not even nominated for best storytelling.
That is sad. The lack of nomination is a damning indictment on the lack of writing talent at Bioware.
