My GF just got this SMS (that will be deservedly ignored)

"You have overdue e-toll fees in the amount of R 325.26 which have been handed over for collection to VPC. Call 0800 SANRAL (726 725) Ref: ************"

I'm just hoping the damn whities don't fade, as I'm sure that's what Sanral is expecting

Listening to the guys in the office - the porras and the lebs are p!ssed off. But the Boers... I don't know...

The whiney contractor in the office just got a etag. But he drives one of those DriverCarSales bakkies. Wonder if they made it part of their contract? And yes - he also likes using LINQ in his code, so he's one of those guys...

/Off topic
And the problem with LINQ is...? Can't you read it? :D

Some kind of roadblock at Rigel onramp N1 south. SAPS often pull people over there but this was much bigger than any before. Couldn't really see who was doing the roadblock (metro, NTP or SAPS?) since I was going 120 in the fast lane.

Bribe-block to collect outstanding fines and to harass people about e-tags.
To be expected.

Of course I am a master bribe-block dodger.

Unfortunately we had to use the N1 the other day... the road back from Kempton Park was simply too dangerous and I was not going to endanger our lives.

Waiting for a bill, waiting for an SMS.. none so far. They won't get a cent, ever.
I feel I paid enough tax, instead of wasting it for their parties, houses, and tribal mansions, they can rather use that for what it was intended.

I suspect the gantries didn't read my car correctly... old-style laminated number plate and it was filthy too, I intentionally don't wash the numberplates. I can't check now because the idiots plugged the hole.

This terminology.... "Violations Processing Centre" sounds all too American to me.

Just phoned in now to ask how I can pay my unregistered account when I am not in Gauteng and they said they couldn't help me. Their system is not working, and you can only pay at e-toll store.

Everyone should just phone in and get a reference number and say they want to pay, but there was no option for them to do it. That should probably have weight in court won't it?

Or run profiler to debug some performance issues...
But we digress. Damn the man!

Yeah what has linq got to do with e-tolls. I thought I was on holiday after a year of solid coding each waking hour.

What an organisation... so their whole operation is slanted to nailing people, and tracking people's movements... they obviously not interested then if you refuse to register...

So they value a registered person far more than a non-registered one, this explains all this talk about "compliance". Its all about them having a gateway to raiding your bank account and tracking you, not that I think King Zumatello is intelligent enough to use any of this info.
