Had a proper downpour of about 10min in Garsfontein late afternoon, paired with some proper winds and thunder.

Already a scorcher this morning.

No watering of gardens

So much panic over nothing.
Or should I say over the wrong thing. The issue isn't the vaal dam level. The issue is rand water can't keep up with demand due to lack of maintenance or expansion.

Nevertheless we are a water scarce country. If you travel you will notice quickly how few rivers and lakes we actually have.

Which makes Mokonyane's ****ing of the LHWS up even worse

Less than that.will check our statement a bit later.

Water is a couple of hundred rand. Electricity is higher.
Ok so later became a few days :p

I looked back over a few statements. Seems we tend to average between 14/15 - 17(max and seldom).

This is true. In our area we have Olievenhoutbosch, Mnandi and Copperleaf all taking water from the same line.
But at present this is not sufficient, and there will be issues should the area be developed for housing etc.
At the moment we are struggling with poor supply that frequently get throttled or cut off due to overconsumption (by Olievenhoutbosch residents).

This has been clear for a while now, the "big pipeline upgrade" from a few month ago already pointed to there not being enough supply.

Pretty warm and dry day, seems like we are in for more or less the same tomorrow again?

Indeed, I begged the guys in the cape rain thread though and my toe seems to think we could now be getting something from Thursday
