It is basically ubuntu with a whole lot of graphics and special themes and some other software preinstalled.

Never really saw the point of it myself.

Where can I download the alpha ISO locally? I know the uct mirror have a copy but it gives me download speeds under 100 Kbps.

And please don't blindly post links to Tenet, Saix or the IS ftp because last time I checked it was not on there.

I found it on UCT servers if I remember correctly, but the download was ridiculously slow so I went international.

I use ultimate, because after I install Ubuntu I then have to go adding in all the apps I want to use that are not part of the default Ubuntu install, Ultimate comes with all of those apps by default, such as QTCreator, which is a big download if I have to get it separately, and a dark theme is used by default as well
