You also keep bees..??View from the bottom of the back garden with the bottom collection point with the pump where I found the koi. View attachment 1083215
Thanks. It will take a while for the plants to get established and over grow all the plastic sheeting. I wanted it to look as natural as I could get it. The last pond I built was a perfect rectangle with just a pump and filter. This one will only use natural filtration from the plants removing all the nitrates from the water to keep it clear of algae. UV light is not installed but hopefully it will not be needed. That looks absolutely stunning and you completed it in record time.
You didn't see my backyard beekeeping thread? You also keep bees..??
Brave man..
Does anybody have any experience with skim plastering and the costs involved in the last year?

Aaahhh one of my favourite jobs!
I had that in a previous house. I ground it off using a dry use diamond impregnated 400 grit sanding disk and a polisher with a Velcro sander attachment. Took about an hour for a large wall and the result was a brilliantly smooth wall. I’ve used the same disk for other jobs and you can barely notice any wear on it.Does anybody have any experience with skim plastering and the costs involved in the last year?

Do you use it on a grinder? I tried a similar disk, just with one row of "teeth" and it quickly digs into the plaster making holes. I'm guessing yours makes it easier.I had that in a previous house.
