I want to build a 4m x 5m covered braai area, Steel frame, wooden structure up top and IBR roof sheets.

Anyone have any idea how we go about plans or know a reasonable guy to draft them?

Should be a quick easy build? I'm assuming... Just not sure if it needs it own plans or needs to be added to exiting plans, or WTAF it needs to be done.

The idea is to stop the intense sun from the North (sliding door) and get privacy in the office (South). Contractor recommended Silver 20. Will see how it goes.

So this turned out to be the best thing ever. Next house, the first thing I do after the burglar bars: film.

What are your guys' shelving solutions in your garages..? I need to put up some shelves.. I was thinking of the double slot wall bands and brackets:

Wallbands come in different lengths, screws to the wall and allows for the shelves to be easily adjusted to different heights..

Curious to know what you guys did..

These go for around 500 to a 1000 rand depending on size etc..? Looks adjustable as well, though not easily with having to unbolt and put back again..

My solution, now on the entire side wall. Pine supports and chipboard shelves; also pine shelf supports back and front to prevent bowing. Cheap and sturdy. Shelves not adjustable, but I can move them easily if needed and can take a lot of weight. They are also tied to the wall with small metal brackets.

I knew what was going on the shelves to begin with, so spaced accordingly

So this is the cost comparison I'll be doing, is with pine shelving like yours and the slotted wall banding.. I am expecting that they both may come in very similar, roughly knowing the price of pine and having looked at the costs of the slotted wall banding.. won't be using the metal shelves for the wall banding, just drop some bare chipboard as shelves..

Yeah not sure on the new price, but they do vary in quality.
I got some older units at a garage sale for R200 a piece iirc.

Like, if a person enters the bathroom then it must switch on.

Just get a standalone PIR sensor and wire it into the extractor fan of your choice.. they are anything from 100bucks or so..

Go with the wall bands. It's easy to setup and adjusting the shelves as your needs change, is easy. I have them in my home office and in my storage unit in the back of my yard.

Is hollow skirting a thing in SA? Looking to cover up mine with something similar to the below:
