Our water pressure is insane and causing issues in our home so it's time to install a pressure valve on our water main. Any opinions on Apex versus Cobra MasterFlo? The Apex is about a R1000 cheaper but I only want to do this once and thus I don't want price to be the only deciding factor here. Any experiences with either brand?

Anyone know of an outdoor inline switch (vertical conduit)?

We have a dark area at the back of the house, I'd like to tap off the power going to an aircon - and put in a light on the outside wall... can't seem to find a outdoor light switch for the job that can be mounted inline - going vertically.
You get those water proof outdoor switch. Wire to aircon must be linked, tap wire to light via switch.some thing like this, https://www.takealot.com/stingray-i...bb96_YxAVMkzvDGO7VUaAnQ6EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I used cobra masterflos around my property.... Hadn't heard of apex at the time.

So this turned out to be the best thing ever. Next house, the first thing I do after the burglar bars: film.
Where did you get it from - and any recommendations of people who do blinds made out of that kind of film. Got a quote from one was shocked by the price for one roller blind!

It's great when taking a shower! And thus ends the list of pros.

Cons: I have to replace seals on taps fairly regularly and I now have to replace ceiling boards too because a lot of our plumbing runs from the ceiling down into the walls:

Plumber's best guess is this was a combination of the recent cold weather, subpar copper, and our crazy water pressure. He's never seen a failure like this and asked if he could keep the pipe as a memento :)

wowsers, must be the thin stuff (M grade i think it is called).

the only time i have really seen a failure like that is with freeze ups.

Hi all. Have an issue with one of my sliding doors. I think years of back and forth has ground the runner down and now it doesn't slide smoothly; I have to lift it when opening and closing it. Anyone had similar issues and was it a costly exercise to fix?

You can take the runners out, its usually one or two screws - and then buy new ones. I'd suggest taking them out - and taking them to Builders, or somewhere similiar to get the same one. Its probably a 10min job.

Ah will look into that, thanks. Hope the bottom of the door is ok. Haven't checked that yet...

the only thing he doesnt really say/show is that the height adjustment you must do when the door is on, you want to raise the wheel such that the dor can't just be taken out like he does up front. similar you must lower it before taking it off normally.
