Morning. To pave 112 Squares - How much moola ?

Got a quote - R25K
How long is a piece of string?

Depends a lot on the choice of bricks. I just recently had some paving done and it varied between R225/m² and R360/m² depending on the brick choice (concrete pavers on the cheap end and corobrick clay bricks on the high end for my quote). That was also for pretty small areas so it would possibly be cheaper for larger areas.

The piece of string is an area of 112 squares covered by grey pavers.

Hi guys,

Im planning on building an outdoor braai area. What is your recommendations with regards to any additives to the cement and using a glasswool in between the cavity of the double wall? Will a standard common stock brick be fine and lintels as the base?

My braai is built into a wall made of standard Concrete blocks with lintels using standard mortar and plaster. There is glass wool fibre between the blocks and the braai itself for insulation.

Thanks dude!

Need a recommendation for bathroom ceiling paint.
It is concrete and there are spots of mould popping up.
I have a wall extractor but it seems the water droplets that condense are the problem.

When we painted we had the paint shop add I think it was called micro-ban or some similar additive that was a antimildew fungicide and that has kept it well at bay.

Anybody have experience with this type of old school door frame?

What can we do here? Don't really like the glass panes on top and the frame runs nearly to the ceiling.

Would we have to take the door frames out?

From the pic I can't tell if it's wood or steel.

If the latter, then removal really just isn't worth while, as they are built into the brickwork and it's a proper mission to take out.

If wood, then a much easier job.

Yeah... I hate the steel frames I have in my house. Worst is if it's steel frame that's rusting in a bathroom and you've got tiles.

You'll probably need to retile your bathroom if you don't have spares and you wanna rip this thing out.
