Nice man, always great when you are able to make improvements!
I'd get an electrician to check that plug though - I'm not sure if you're allowed to put a plug point like that in a wet room.

Very nice, but as others have pointed out, that plug placement might be an issue, depending how far away the shower or bath is (if there is one).

Yup had my roof done and the bloody guy emigrated 4 months after doing the roof sigh. But yeah it was fine for awhile but the first big winds that kicked in back to leaks.
I'm thinking of putting an IBR roof on top of the slab

Cracks that allow water in are not good, there could be a major structural issue.
Yea that's why I need to sort out ASAP before the next rainy season. Theyr long but not very wide. I'm starting to see ingress into the house

That could help yeah, how wide are those cracks? You could look at a waterproof crack filler? I would've said coprox but that is for masonary only.

The ibr is just for the slab. The exterior walls have the cracks. Roof mostly in good Nick bar a few small problems.

What I’ll never understand is that builders will build something, then the electrician or plumber will come after the building is done, and grind and chop and chase make a huge mess, only to cover up again. Can’t they just work with each other and plan something beforehand?

Honestly, I wouldn't rely on them to make those arrangements.. I would make sure that I arrange that everything be done in the correct order to avoid this..

I’m doing a lot of the stuff myself but the builder (who is one of the top guys in Cape Town allegedly) has his own team and foreman in here constantly mixing up their schedules. Luckily they’re not impeding me yet, but still it’s annoying AF. Literally chasing into screed when they should have put the conduits down a week ago.

That's what I mean, I would play project manager to make sure they do things when it's supposed to get done..

Can't rely on anyone these days but, yourself..

I'm looking to have a glass veranda for outside my one sliding door. Maybe my google skills are broken today but I don't seem to find lots of mention of companies doing it locally. Something like this:
