So we're looking to buy a place, it's got what appears to be decent laminate flooring. It's been in around a year but there are small sections that have lifted up; they're in quite a bit of sunlight so not sure if that makes a difference or if it was simply not installed that well.
My question is - is this something that typically gets worse over time and spreads or kinda remains the same?

It sounds like the floor was installed without expansion gaps where it borders the walls.. it was probably okay the first half the installed year, while it was still cool weather but, now with Summer coming to an end, the heat has caused expansion and pushing against the wall, and trying to expand further, it will force up the laminate as t the joints..
It will continue until maximum expansion is reached, so it could still get worse or its at the worst now already..
Direct sunlight is unlikely to have caused that..

The laminate expand and contract as the moisture in the air changes.
Had same issue when we moved in, floor started lifting up at one of the points we walked the most.
You will have to rip off the side skirts and hope you can figure out which end they finished the install. I lifted it up on the wrong end /sigh
Anyways, then when you can see where the strips are pushing against the wall, you need to uninstall back to that point (aka remove the strips) and then then cut off small pieces to shorten the strips. You want about at least 0.5cm gap between the wall and where the laminate strips end.
When done, put everything back and use the side skirts to hide the gaps.
Annoying as hell depending on how much of the floor you need to uninstall.

We're basically going to make a note of it in our OTP - not that they need to sort it out, rather that the issue is reflected in our price offered (we like to give explanations for our offer - it's not asked for or needed but we've found folk are more amenable to accepting a lower offer if they think it's been thought through and not a random low-ball).

How do you give a reason? Do you attach a special note to it? The offer I gave had no space for a reason. Also, how do you guarantee the agent gives the reason to the seller?

The seller has to sign to the otp if they accept it?
We wrote down our reasons on the otp.
There's normally a space in an OTP to add any specific items you'd like addressed that fall outside the generic conditions. But we generally just talk to the agent - they don't need to tell the seller anything if they don't want but again we find if we get them on our side so to speak, they're more likely to convince an owner to agree.
Anyway this is more for the OTP thread.
Replaced the vibracrete in our back yard with some newer vibracrete.
We opted not to do brick walls because with all nieghbours having dogs it would have been a challenge having no wall for a couple of weeks.

I am an absolute not a fan of HG. German name but made in china. Overpriced. Contact the place you bought it from. they will book a tech.
If you dont have there details let me know and i will help.
Make sure your tap is clean. no sand in the aerator and that you have balanced water pressure. .
Sometimes they are stingey. warrantee is 15 years

A bit frustrated as today was meant to be the last day but there are quite a bit of final finished to be done.
They will be back tomorrow to catchup and then finish on Monday or Tuesday.
Ceiling went through 5 coats and the is still cream tint coming through from previous paint. They will be adding a 6th layer tomorrow. Not sure if you can make it out from the pic.
Still need to put lights over the island.

We may have gone overboard with plug points in the kitchen with 7 plug points and all of them are double plugs. Excluding the plugs for the stove and dishwasher.
Some with the new 3 pin plug, normal 3 point plugs and 1 5A USB port
