Disconnect all power from it, wait a minute or two and then try learning mode again. Ensure the gate is halfway open when you start learning mode.

Hopefully should recover.
 
Could also be your battery is shot. Try swapping out another battery eg your alarm to see if behaviour persists
 
D5 evo should have the battery voltage displayed on the LCD. Check how far it drops when it tries to open/close.

A battery issue will cause it to reboot. Haven't seen the EEPROM error on mine due to a flat battery.

thanks i will check tomorrow, the previous pic i uploaded shows its full, however when i press the remote to open or close the gate almost stuck like open less then half a metre then shutdown, almost like it short circuit somewhere .it was fine before ..ill check for any loose wires as well ..
 
Re the Centurion D5 issue - most likely is the battery. My gate would stop/start/reset/beep and drive me crazy when the battery was shot. With all the LS lately, the sh*tty charging unit doesn't charge the battery fast enough, especially if you have sensors attached.

I'll take it out and test it, and buy replacement most shops sell 9 amps, mines a 8 amp gel battery...any difference

...also how fairly difficult is it to remove the battery ill post a pic

its really easy the top plate where the control board sits pops out, just push the side peices in the second pic out slightly to release it.

a 9ah will be perfectly fine, actually better

pry the side peice out a few mm so that this indent releases the top peice
 
@storms1 if your battery is a dud, replace it with a Lithium Ion version. Then you should never have problems (especially with LS) for the next 8 years!!

I have the BluNova one in my D5 EVO and it is working well.

thanks man, i Gott a Lithium From Regal security...

now my Gate sy stalled and diagnostics Shows battery is not Billy charged will that Stall The. gate

You said earlier that you reset everything. So you will need to retrain the gate motor .

Disengage the motor ,
Move the gate halfway open
Reengage the motor
Tell the gate to learn.

(All in the user manual)

After two or three opens it will have worked out limits etc

Well that's what always worked for me.

Also maybe just give the battery time to charge before doing the above.

Update : followed your recommendation, gate is now working 110%...thanks again...
 
My next home improvement rant.. Started tearing apart the family bathroom last weekend, and half arsed renovations piss on my battery...

Things are just coming apart way too easily and have just been stuck on top of the original finishes in the house...
 
electrolux ceiling fan remote.... any ideas on where to find a remote or an app that will work to control it?

I know the other option is to put in something like an ifan, looking for alternatives first otherwise i will go this route

just get the ifan
 
Normal (non boundary/lateral) wall height limit still 1.8m to be considered as minor build work and not requiring plans in Randburg/JHB ?
