Plascon lasts years. Dulux not so much, from past experience. Both pva and enamel paints...Anyone have an idea how long unopened exterior paint can be stored for ?

I put an awning of about the same size 40m^2 in 2005/6. It cost me R36k back then! Multiple quotes (also Cape Town). I've been getting quotes for a retractable awning (4x5.5m) and they start at R65k al the way up to R172k. This is what happens when you legalize dagga!!
A lot of stuff in CPT is a ripoff of note, but if it is not...then it is a scam. Tough life hereSo strange, I had a relatively custom awning of around 40sqm done about 2 years ago and it was only R25k or so.
You Cape Town okes clearly earn too much money![]()
Don't say that. We are looking for formation of Republic of Western Cape so that we can migrate there one day.A lot of stuff in CPT is a ripoff of note, but if it is not...then it is a scam. Tough life here![]()

No plans yet, first want to see if its worth it. Don't be po3s and share details of people I can ask for quotes.Pooooeeeeesss duur bra..
DIY carport kit is around 15k for pretty much what you were quoted on..
I got quotes around the 25k region for a similar sized car port..
Did you draw up a plan..? It's a requirement for CoCT...
We finally bit the bullet and tiled it like many garages in our complexes. They all looked great comparatively but we just didn't have the money. In earlier house we had, I had painted garage with the some floor paint available from builders but tiling is way better and durable in the longer run.I'd like to repaint my garage floor. It currently looks like this.
What's the best way to go about it? Do I need to remove all paint or just clean and put a new coat? What's the best paint to use and the best tools to paint with?
If you want something durable and long lasting, look at getting an epoxy coating done..I'd like to repaint my garage floor. It currently looks like this.

You reckon it is better than tiling the floor? Also, I heard some horrible rates for epoxy coating. If you want something durable and long lasting, look at getting an epoxy coating done..
I have been toying with the idea of coating my garage floor with Rubberguard - https://midas.co.za/rubberguard-coating-with-chip-2-5-litre.htmlWe finally bit the bullet and tiled it like many garages in our complexes.
