In my scullery, a hole in the granite counter, big enough to weave the plug through to the top. Works for me. :)

There is no way that I am putting a tap above my counter, that's just going to completely destroy the looks..

At most I would consider a small shutoff valve above the counter and still keep the tap below the counter..

If a person is desperate to have the tap accessible: make sure that the dedicated slot for the dishwasher borders on the great outside. It should be close to the drain and the ubiquitous outside tap. Drill a hole through the wall and feed the water pipe through, to connect it to the outside tap.

You can also fit a waterproof electric socket for the power in that general area.

This works if your dishwasher doesn't have an inline pressure/filter mcgafter fitted like mine.. giant rectangle right at the fitting that screws on to the tap.. no hole you drill is going to allow the water pipe to be fed outside..

Short extension pipe from the tap, through the wall, into the inline filter will solve that ...

OTOH, you will need a just as nasty hole in the nice work-surface if you want to access the tap without moving the dishwasher. After all, accessibility is what this discussion is hinged upon
 
So started painting and thankfully only bought 5L of Plascon Double Velvet. Wife upset the colour is too light and looks almost white?

You okes think if I do another coat it should go darker or just choose another color?
 
Fot those in the know we had to do a rational design for the home plan approvals.

So the plans are approved but the rational design notes include a fire extinguisher, treat thatch with flame retardant goodies and a lightning protection system complying with sans 10313.

Any idea how much the last two points cost? Lapa is 32m2

Unlikely.. even their actual white we ended up painting 4 to 5 coats and still didn't look white.. we just decided to get Dulux and one coat later was white.. we previously used Dulux and was happy with it, but for some reason decided to try plascon, never again..

Pray that that fridge doesn't go tits up - it's a bastard finding one with the dimensions that'll fit!

And one doesn't have all the time in the world looking for a replacement either!

It would be wise to allow some space on the side(s).

Depends on the lighting whether the paint will show the correct shade your wife wants. If the room gets a lot of sunlight the colour will appear lighter.

Its specced for this baby

Its a beast of unit so any "normal" unit will fit this was basically the largest single door fridge freeze combo

This is a fantastic fridge.. managed to get this on the Hirsch's clearance sale two weeks ago.. it's definitely big, but Bosch makes an even bigger single door combo fridge, basically 100mm wider than this one..

Hi guys, any idea if this silver coloured edging comes in different colours. The contractor's set on it and I loathe it because it highlights the window sills whereas I'd prefer them blending in. EDIT: it's for a kitchen.

Yeah, there are other colours available.. common ones are black, aluminium, stainless steel and brass/gold in the metal range..
