The "Hum" being heard around the world

So has anyone else heard about this "hum" that is reportedly being heard in countries all around the world?

You can google it, and loads of things come up on it.

Possibilities:
-Hoax.
-Unexplained phenomenon scientists don't understand yet.
-Russia/Drilling?
-Earth's tectonic plates?

personally, I think it's a phenomenon which we do not understand yet. it has been there for a while but people didn't think much of it - now we have youtube, and camera's - a person uploads a video of it....then people have interest, and more people hearing it upload it as well, therefore bringing more attention, and then more upload.

so basically, I have no idea what it is, but it's been there for a while but it seems "new", because in the past it wasn't reported.
