To be fair, the way the pitch played. I thought NZ made an average score. Even listening to the commentators on Radio 2000 driving home from work, they mentioned 130 could be a challenge.
 
What's concerning from a saffers pov is the impact spinners have in India. We don't really have the bowlers or batsmen to exploit the conditions.

Luckily not all the venues are like this one. So hope we can do well with some of our seamers.

You reckon? Afghanistan disposed of Zimbabwe and played well leading up to this round. Never can rule out the underdog. Me just so pleased I picked NZ to take this. Future picks may be this easy :p

We shouldn't read too much into it. Nagpur is a poor pitch has been for a while. Played this way throughout the first phase and the warmup games. Dharmasala,kolkata and especially mumbai will be a lot different.

TBH I haven't really researched the venues we scheduled to play at. Hopefully they won't be the spinners paradise we saw tonight! When conditions suit Bangladesh could have their way with us. We so brittle against spin at the best of times, let alone on spin friendly surfaces...

I dont think so.

but we do have QDK and # who play really well against spin.

but on a wicket like that it does not matter. if we play on a wicket like that we just hope that Mister Duckworth, Lewis and Stern come to play in our favour for once. makes our chances better...

Wiese slower balls are very effective on those type of wickets and if its spins like that it will reverse as well and we have steyn.

I am confident we can compete on those wickets in a t20 game. But on those types of wickets the toss plays an unfair part.
 
Double header today! First game starts at 11:30 (Bangladesh vs Pakistan) and then at 16:00 (England vs West Indies)
