I did the update to 10.3 beta 1, and not really much changes apart from the file system changing, and a few things in settings. It does feel a little snappier when scrolling, and when opening and closing apps.

For me it's primarily about customization. There's a plethora of other reasons but I don't have the desire to go into the TLDR version right now...

If it weren't for the ability to JB I would probably choose android over iOS. JB enhances the end user experience by 15%-20% for me...
Consider apps like Filza for file editing, Speed intensifier for eliminating all the animations baked into iOS, call recorder to record all your incoming and outgoing calls, display recorder to record your home screen, veency to mirror and access your iDevice from a pc, Springtomize with it's plethora of settings, CCSettings to customize control centre short cuts, Push for gmail for instant email delivery using the native iOS email app, Anemone, a themeing engine, Bytafont for custom fonts, Folder enhancer to customize folder behavior and physical appearance, Multiicon mover to highlight and move more than one icon at a time, Record pause to pause a video recording.
There's just soooooo much...
iOS is a superb operating system, no question!! But it's not without its nuances. The freedom to work around those nuances while at the same time adding a little of one's own personality and character, makes it fcking GREAT!!

Was playing around with my partners new iPhone 7 yesterday!! But the thing is a BEAST!!! Good grief!

Unfortunately there is nothing on my phone that allows beast mode to kick in but she is buttery smooth 99% of the time. I think 10.3 with the new file system will take care of that other 1% once everything has been ironed out.

Stay on 10.2 is you haven't already upgraded. JB could be out soon, then you can tinker a little. Take care of that governor currently throttling the iOS experience...

Taking longer but there's a good chance it will. By then most of the glitches associated with 10.2/JB/Cydia will be ironed out making for a better end user experience. Currently there a lot of blue chip apps and tweaks that are yet to be updated. Then there's also the semi tethered nature of the current JB.
