Apple releases iTunes 12.6.3 with built-in App Store and ringtones

If you prefer to keep a backup of iPhone and iPad apps on your computer for safekeeping and miss the ability to browse iOS App Store and ringtones on iTunes Store using your Mac or Windows PC, Apple has now quietly released iTunes 12.6.3.

iTunes 12.6.3 basically brings back a built-in App Store storefront and the ability to download ringtones from iTunes Store, the two features that were removed from last month’s iTunes 12.7.

According to Apple’s support document, they’ve decided to provide this version of iTunes because “certain business partners might still need to use iTunes to install apps.”

If you’ve already installed iTunes 12.7 or later, simply download iTunes 12.6.3 on your Mac or PC (32-bit or 64-bit) and run the installer.

After installation is complete, you can continue to download iOS apps with iTunes.

The company noted that this iTunes 12.6.3 won’t prompt you to download new versions. iTunes 12.6.3 also features support for iOS 11 and syncing with the latest iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X devices.

Apple releases iOS 11.0.3 with minor bug fixes

Apple released iOS 11.0.3 on Wednesday as a minor update to Apple’s newest mobile operating system with bug fixes and minor improvements targeting specific iPhone models.

In particular, the update provides improvements for the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus handsets.

Anyone using an iPhone 6s with a third-party iPhone display replacement will find that iOS 11.0.3 resolves a problem with the touch panel becoming unresponsive.

In addition, the update resolves a problem with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus handsets where audio and haptic feedback would randomly stop working.

As with every one of Apple’s software updates, iOS 11.0.3 is available from our downloads page.

Since 11.2 my WhatsApp seems to be muting contacts itself?

I’m on 11.0.2 and no whatsapp messages are coming through. Only when I open the app then the messages arrive.

Reset your settings. It’s a Schlepp but should resolve your issue. Just keep in mind that all your settings have to be set again.

Phone settings. It’s only way I found where the app will ask you again to receive notifications.

Ps, don’t reset the phone, only the settings.

Do you have Low Power Mode enabled? I noticed mine doing the same.
