The iOS 11 Thread/Discussion

I’m on 11.0.2 and no whatsapp messages are coming through. Only when I open the app then the messages arrive.

Same here. Comes through sometimes though, sometimes only if I open the app. Someone said something above resetting settings ! Anyone tried that yet ?

Do you have Low Power Mode enabled? I noticed mine doing the same.

Mines on normal , so I don’t think power mode is the issue. Occurred only after last update 11.0.2. Plus phones getting really hot when charging, 7 plus

Instead of resetting all settings have you tried to just delete and reinstall the app, that should reset notifications, I would think.

I have not reset the settings as yet. Issue was noticed after I upgraded Whatsapp to version 2.17.60 on 06/10/17. Don't think its IOS.

Still noticing Bluetooth issues and bad battery drain on iPhone 6 with iOS 11.02

Still noticing Bluetooth issues and bad battery drain on iPhone 6 with iOS 11.02

iPhone 6S died by midday today. Could see the battery percentage dropping whilst watching it.

Restarted phone at 11% yesterday, after the reboot, came back at 23%, then dropped quickly again. Pretty sure it’s being caused by a rogue process being triggered in the background by one of the 3rd party apps...

Will watch it for a few more days before taking more drastic action.

iCloud back up then restore the phone using iTunes, once complete restore from the iCloud back up, seems to fix most rogue events like yours.

iOS 11 overtakes iOS 10, now installed on nearly half of devices

iOS 11 adoption rate has overtaken that of iOS 10 this week as the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system is now installed on about 48% of iOS devices. In comparison, iOS 10 is still installed on about 45% of devices, according to analytics firm Mixpanel.

Older operating system versions, including iOS 9, iOS 8 and below, represent approximately 6% of the install base.

iOS 11 adoption rate is slightly slower than iOS 10’s. In the same time frame last year, iOS 10 was already installed on roughly 58% of devices, while iOS 9 was installed on only 31% of devices.

These numbers are obviously not official numbers shared directly by Apple, but they’ve proven to paint a relatively good picture of the state of iOS versions adoption in the past.

I'm on the new beta, and have no battery issues. My battery goes down because I use my phone.

I use google play for music and not Apple Music. In fact my library is empty on Apple Music. Each time my phone connects to my car via Bluetooth the music app will show on my lock screen and I have no clue how to get rid of it afterwards. The actual music app is closed. It’s a waste of space on the lock screen and annoys me.

Any ideas?

Delete the app? You say you're not using it.

Updated this morning and battery does seem to be a lot better. Hope it stays this way.
