The iOS 12 Thread/Discussion

Updated to 12.1 and now my watch keeps disconnecting for hours at a time today

I’ve had my watch connected all through the 12.1 betas and now on 12.1. It’s only ever disconnected from my phone once, and that’s because I left the phone at home...

Have you updated the watch as well?

Crock of ****. Ready to Chuck my watch at the wall.

Had to do a reset and now the phone only shows the wavy type QR thingy and my phone tells me to get it in the viewfinder but it doesn’t pick it up.

Trying it on manual, phone says enter the 6 digit code shown on the watch. No code is shown on the watch. Just the wavy pattern.

Switched the phone off and on for a second time and it is syncing at last.

Aren’t you having fun? ;)

You didn’t answer though, have you also update the watch today?

Found a flaw with the dual sim arrangement. Apple haven’t thought to offer separate ring/text tones and you can’t individually deactivate the physical sim by itself (other than talking the sim out).

Supposedly the 12.1.1 beta includes a on/off switch for the physical sim so I’ll be trying that shortly.

I couldn’t do anything with it. Phone updated to 12.1 but then it was like the watch was paired but the phone wasn’t so I couldn’t access the watch through the phone.

It’s set to auto install but now it’s paired and on 5.0.1., do you know if that is the latest?

No, mine is on 5.1. The update came out last night with the 12.1 update.

The update won’t screw up the pairing, just check for update from the watch app.

Is there something in the gallery I can edit to make some settings shortcuts?

updated phone and ipad to 12.1 this morning, no issues so far, but I will hang back a bit with the watch update

Hmm, my update showed up in the watch app on the phone, not on the watch itself

Yeah, that’s what I meant. Still showing as up to date just now
