Good Lord, it has aged well, this Jaguar F-Type.
It has been through a facelift or two, of course, but even the early cars still look fab, arguably even more so than the later ones.
The convertible has been around since 2013 and it was followed a year later by the coupé. The latter is the more practical car on account of a boot that can house a couple of sets of golf clubs rather than just a bag of tees and a glove.

2023 Jaguar F-Type 75 marks sports car's final year
British brand's iconic sports car to bow out at the end of 2023 as firm pushes towards all-electric line-up
The Jaguar F-Type will bow out at the end of next year, bringing to an end 75 years of pure-combustion Jaguar sports cars - a lineage that stretches back to the record-breaking XK120.
The F-Type arrived in 2013 as a replacement for the Jaguar XK, and will continue into its final year with the choice of a 296bhp four-cylinder motor or two 5.0-litre supercharged V8s, one with 444bhp and the other – in the F-Type R – 567bhp.
The more potent, firmed-up V8 cars will be badged 'F-Type 75' for the final year of production with an array of special features to set it apart from the standard car – although that will no longer be available in V8 form.
This includes commemorative badging, gloss black wheels, Windsor leather performance seats and bespoke interior decorations. A unique Giola Green paint option is also available.
This is similar to the Land Rover Defender 75 which was unveiled last month by parent company Jaguar Land Rover. Coincidently marking 75 years of the British brand, it also gets a cosmetic reworking – and a lofty £85,995 price tag when it hits showrooms next year.
As with the Defender, it’s the same F-Type underneath as the one on sale today, with double wishbone suspension all around, and sticky rubber in the form of specially developed Pirelli P Zero tyres.

Jaguar has revealed a new special edition of its absurdly handsome F-Type, and it is the final run of F-Types it intends to build. Welcome to the end of 75 years of petrol-powered Jaguar sportscars.
Consigning these big cats to history and signalling the end of an era that began with the absurdly fast XK120, are… some badges, some new alloy wheels and a new ‘unique’ silhouette motif on the centre console. Also the wheel caps and grille badges are now black instead of red.
Though, the 75 edition cars are only available with a supercharged V8 packing 444bhp, or a Very Supercharged V8 producing 567bhp. You will note that both of these power outputs and cylinder layout rather outweigh the lack of any visual trinketry.
Both of these special editions get Jag’s adaptive dynamics system as standard, along with a few hardware tweaks: rear knuckles made from stiff aluminium die castings, larger wheel bearings, an active electronic rear diff and revised upper ball joints for the R 75. It’s all-wheel-drive only for the R 75 of course, though that’s an option on the 444bhp V8 75 too.

The tweaked F-Type range – which the Coventry-based firm describes as “simpler and more focused” than before – will be available in South Africa from January 2023 and will again include coupé and convertible body styles.

With Jaguar planning to reinvent itself as a purely electric brand from 2025, we’ll soon be saying goodbye to the British brand’s internal combustion models, and the first to have a goodbye party is the Jaguar F-Type.
The final production year for the two-door sports car line-up will be 2023, and to give it an appropriate send-off, Jaguar has bolstered the specification for the MY23 models and introduced a new special edition model that also celebrates the company’s 75th anniversary.
Jaguar South Africa says the first deliveries of the subtly enhanced range will commence in January 2023, with pricing and to be confirmed nearer to the time.
Jaguar says the MY23 line-up has become “simpler and more focused”. Twenty-inch alloy wheels are standard on all models, and there are subtle changes to the badging.
As mentioned, Jaguar is also introducing a pair of special editions called the F-Type 75 and R 75, which will be available in coupé and convertible formats.
