The Kempton Park Serial Killer thread

This was a weird one. On the video the guy is walking/running away, hands in the air looking behind him, possibly pleading, and then the shooter goes ballistic with the bullets. Shooter picks up something of the victim (report say his cellphone) and leaves.

Comments off apparent hit doing the rounds, or he filmed them doing dodgy stuff and they shot him for the phone.

Either way, savage. :crying:

Why shoot him while he is walking away? And then take the phone? Sure he took a few pictures and video for insurance but what are the perps trying to hide by doing this? Seems a bit hectic

We live in an angry, violent country and this wouldn't be the first incident where someone was shot over road rage. Just sit in daily traffic and watch how people drive and respond to other road users.

I drive on the R21, R24, and N12, twice a day. Have yet to see the police presence.

Any number of things they could be trying to hide... Stolen car, car used in cit heists etc etc.

Probably a criminal and the car is stolen or used for crime.

We will see if the police can trace the owner.

Road rage of showing middle finger, honking and shouting at each other from comfort of car - yes but I really haven't noticed (in news or IRL) much shooting to death scenario like this but maybe I missed something.

There was another one a few months ago, sadly.

It doesn't have to be a daily occurence for it to be a thing. It happens. People are suggesting a hit when it can simply be yet another violent incident that plagues this country on a daily basis.

This would be the second reported case in 2026 of someone being shot and killed over road rage. There was the incident earlier in the year where the wife pulled a gun and got herself shot and her husband killed.

2024 - R5k bail for man who shot motorist four times in Sandton 'road rage incident'
2024 - One dead in alleged road rage attack on Hendrik Potgieter
2023 - Motorist shot dead in alleged road rage incident in Krugersdorp
2022 - Motorist wounded in road rage shooting in Fontainebleau
2021 - Limpopo father and son fatally shot in suspected road rage incident
2020 - A man was shot dead at the Soweto Highway following a road rage incident

There was that emmarentia one earlier this year. A thread was made about it here.

Not shocking really. Our murder rate is 60-70 per day so road rage is part of that rage.

Hopefully the killer is a normal citizen driving a legally registered car who can be traced and dragged away to jail.
Not much reasoning behind this thinking,
  1. There in nothing "normal" about killing
  2. Weather a car ir legally registered or not, A function intelligence apparatus should be able to trace any vehicle used in crime.
  3. Crime scene evidence does not rely on one legal to result in successful prosecution, if it depended on legality surely then all those killings happening everyday (51- 70 according to stats) majority would be in prison.
Get that fallacy out of your head that just becasue you have an ID or passport or fingerprinted before, if you commit a crime you will traced instantly. You won't, The police incompetence is staggering.

There is a curse of blood lust in this country. If no blood is spilled some people get sick. Its not enough to steal or loot without killing, and sad thing is majority of people enjoy killing in this country.

We are very specifically talking about road rage here and how it can escalate to a shooting. People can and do get shot during road rage. No hit needed, just an unreasonably angry South African, of which there are many.
