I was lucky after starting the other thread I bought at R7.88, R5.88 and R3.50 but then sold 50% approx of my stake when they were around the R8.50 odd and took profit to cover most of my risk. I was then left with 1600 shares at R5.78 which then became 77,800 after writes issue at 31c average.

if you have the money to burn then go ahead. The money that I have put into Lonmin I consider GONE. If they come back from the dead, then great, if they dont, then I'm still able to pay rent and put food on the table.

Good. Now one can only hope it will climb, although some experts believe it will crash down to the single cents level, after which the company will delist and subsequently close down.

The rights issue is coming up in 7 days, but the shares may be in the 10 cents level before then, so I am not sure what will happen then when they offered shares at 21c...

I dont think that will happen. Cosatu heavy on their case and will get government to help Lonmin with a bailout. 35 000 jobs at stake.
