Thank you very much for that drifter - missed out on the Groupon deal yesterday trying to sort out my Groupon account - so this is appreciated. Had looked at youtube - but so much easier when the course is laid out.

Maybe we need to start a separate thread with the guys doing the course.

How about starting this Monday - a lesson a week? So 10 weeks - I plan to do this properly, so do not want to rush it.

Anyone else interested?

LONMIN PLC (LON)
CO - Consolidation
Lonmin will consolidate the total number of shares in issue on a 1 new Lonmin for 100 old shares held at record date.
Entitlements will be rounded down and arrangements will be put in place for any such fractional entitlements arising from the Consolidation to be aggregated and sold in the market on behalf of the relevant Shareholders. It is expected that proceeds of fractional entitlements will be distributed to Shareholders by 31 December 2015.
Shareholders are to trade with caution from 18 December 2015 to 24 December 2015 as the portfolios will only reflect the consolidated holdings from the 28 December 2015

Well, big investors could make some serious money. If they buy cheap before the consolidation and the share price gets pushed up, they could serious money after.

How do you get that? The nominal value of the total shares before and after consolidation remains the same? So, they stand to make the same amount before or after consolidation if the price increases.
