The LONMIN share price thread

Yep, a lot of people learned a lot about investing and failing companies though :) Agreed with theratman, those who invested big and had hopes for a last upswing - ouch!

You sir called it along time ago :) hope it somehow goes back to 20's so that some folk can minimize losses, as unlikely as that is.

For the sake of the forumites, I really do hope that something like that would happen.

I traded at exactly the right prices and almost quadrupled my investment. Left 1k in there just for interest's sake.

Good on you, think a lot of folk got on late and were hoping for a similar swing so they too could cash in, unfortunately it never materialized.

Yes, those who bought in between 20c and 40c and the price rose to 80-90c will have made a good profit if they had the 'guts' or discipline to sell their shares when the price was still in the 80c region.

Problem is, many thought the price could shoot back to R2, R3 and higher and they hanged on their shares, only to find their investments worthless at the current 16/17c.

There is no way that Lonmin will ever rise to these levels again. The company has fallen and is going down.

There was a great opportunity this morning in ArcelorMittal who saw a 30% drop in their price on Tuesday. They are currently up 12%+. I invested R20k this morning for a once-off ride and currently it is paying off for me. Even if I only make R1k today from this trade it is fine, but currently it is much more than that for me :)

Take your profit before you take a loss. ACL is a scam
